After a successful career in banking and finance, I decided to embark on a whole new learning curve to support and empower young people. I first began volunteering as a mentor in my spare time to build up my knowledge and skill-set. I have extensive experience of working with young people between 9 and 25 years of age in a wide range of settings. I have worked supporting the rehabilitation of males in a young offenders institute to assist in reducing reoffending. I share my experiences of working in a prison to young people in order to paint a picture of what prison life is all about.
My roles in the community have included working for Kensington & Chelsea youth offending service and most recently with the charity Children’s Society, to support young people that are reported missing. I have developed a passion to engage with even the hard to reach young people to support them into positive and meaningful activities to enable their safety in the community.
